Rikki Neave murder: Police release James Watson interview audio

An extract from an police interview with James Watson regarding the murder of Rikki Neave.In the clip Mr Watson claims to have picked up Rikki Neave in order for him to see some building works carried out over a fence, which is why he claims his DNA was found on the clothes of the murdered boy.Rikki Neave was five-years-old when he was murdered, and his body left naked and posed in a forest in Peterbourgh, in November 1993.The killing remained unsolved for the next 20 years until a cold case review pointed to James Watson, as new forensic technology showed a DNA match for Watson on Rikki’s clothes.At the time of Rikki’s death Watson was 13 and was living in care, being treated as a vulnerable child.
