This new clip from Rings has arrived to really creep out your day.

The latest in the series featuring a vengeful girl ghost who turns up seven days after you've watch the cursed video tape has brought the myth into the modern era. No more VHS for Samara! She's all about youtube now.

The third chapter in the American reboot of the Japanese horror classic sees a young woman, Julia (Matilda Lutz), watch the dreaded video to save her boyfriend after he gets caught up in a 'subculture' around the tape.

But, of course, this is the modern era, so she views it online and soon regrets it as her skin peels off and she gags on hair.

Two trailers have been released already.

The first sees Samara take over a plane's entertainment system.

While the second featured plinky music, a freaky voiceover and The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki, who plays a university lecturer helping out Julia, looking downtrodden in the rain.

Rings is directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez who made fairly generic horror Demonic and is currently attached as exec producer of the forever-in-pre-production remake of The Crow which had Jason Momoa attached as Eric Draven and Corin Hardy on board as director last time we looked.

Gutiérrez is no stranger to postponements - Rings was initially set to be released last Halloween in the UK and on November 4, 2016 in the US, before being put back a few months.

Rings opens in UK cinemas on 3 February.
