Both pro- and anti-EU protesters marched in Rome on March 25, as the Italian capital hosted leaders from the European Union’s 27 member states to mark the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, which created the European Economic Community.

This video shows ‘Eurostop’ protesters blocked by riot police close to Piazza Bocca della Verità.

Police had come prepared for the anti-EU rally, with a strong security presence to control the crowd. Around 8,000 people from community centers and local committees marched against the EU summit, according to local reports. Credit: Twitter/termine via Storyful
