RIP Stereo Kicks: Gigantic X Factor Boyband Split Up

It’s with a heavy octagonal heart that we can reveal that Stereo Kicks - potentially the largest boyband ever assembled (soz Blazin’ Squad) - have finally called it a day, after less than a year together.

After struggling to get signed by a major label at the beginning of their careers and learning ‘first-hand just how tough the industry is’ the boys have decided to go their separate ways.

The boys issued the following statement on Facebook earlier today:

“We all feel the time has come for us to now continue our journeys individually. We have learnt first-hand just how tough the industry is as an unsigned act.”

“Unfortunately, due to these circumstances, we are no longer able to carry on as a band. Please understand that there is nothing more that you could have done and that this is a situation completely beyond both your control and ours.”

“We have considered endless ways of how we might try to make this work, but it is logistically impossible for us to continue as Stereo Kicks. From the bottom of our hearts, we will be forever grateful for all of your hard work, support and love. We can’t thank you enough.”

“Stereo kicks has been, and always will be, a HUGE part of our lives. We still remain the BEST of friends and will continue to support each other in everything we do. The experience we have had is truly indescribable and it is mostly down to YOU! Our fans! Without your support and loyalty, we wouldn’t have achieved half of what we have…….. you really have been the BEST FAN’S EVER!!”

The Kicks are set to perform a farewell gig at Thorpe Park next weekend.

The boys have stayed pretty quiet thus far on their individual Twitter accounts – but Reece said on Twitter this morning: “I’ve had the best year of my life this past year. All because of you and 7 lads. I will never forget SK. Thankyou all.”

Tom Mann, who has now signed his own publishing deal, just said 'I’m so sorry x’, after retweeting the groups announcement.

OH STOP IT BOYS, WE CAN’T COPE. This is potentially more traumatic than the time our budgerigar escaped it’s cage and flew into a nearby pylon.

Fear not though, as we’re sure it’s not the last we’ve seen of the boys – no doubt Barclay will be waving his bumhole about on Snapchat again soon, and Casey will continue to be, well, fit.

Anyway - laters Tom, James, Barclay, Jake, Chris, Reece, Casey and Charlie. IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED XOXOXO
