A popular Scottish music act is coming to the Riverside Church in Ayr next month.

Blue Rose Code are to take centre stage at the John Street venue on Friday, December 6.

Lead Pastor at Riverside Church, Ian Gall, said: “Blue Rose Code’s latest album ‘Bright Circumstance’ was on the long list for Scottish Album of the Year. They have been playing at venues large and small throughout the UK- including Belladrum and recently headlining at the Cambridge Folk Festival.

“It’s quite a coup for us to get them to play at Riverside! They’ll be supported on the night by Yvonne Lyon - one of Scotland’s best and brightest singer-songwriters.”

He added: “Ross Wilson (Blue Rose Code) has quite a back story- growing up on the darker side of Edinburgh. Any profit we make from this concert will go to our charity, Riverside Community Trust - which largely exists to help people into recovery and to sustain their recovery.”
