Rita Ora has been accused of flouting rules from Number 10 after allegedly throwing a 30th birthday party where more than 30 guests attended.

The Sun reports that the pop star, who turned 30 last week, held a private event at Casa Cruz restaurant in Notting Hill, west London on Saturday 28 November.

Among those reported to have been in attendance include models Cara and Poppy Delevingne, The Only Way is Essex star Vas Morgan, and Ora’s sister, Elena.

Photos in the publication showed guests arriving, and staff entering through a metal side door carrying bags of ice.

Police officers were seen at one point visiting the restaurant and attempting to see inside; at one point trying to open the metal security door.

The government has imposed a national lockdown until 2 December in a bid to slow the spread of coronavirus, after which a “uniform set of measures” will be applied in tiers across England until spring 2021.

Members of the public have been asked to stay at home unless essential, and avoid meeting people outside of their “bubble”.

Restaurants in London are currently closed with the exception of takeaway meals. Those in breach of the rules can face hefty fines.

A Met Police spokesperson told The Sun: “Police were called at 9.10pm on Saturday to reports of a potential breach of Covid regulations in W11.”

The Independent has contacted Ora’s representative for comment, as well as reps for Cara Delevingne and Vas Morgan.
