Rival Wallabies Battle It Out Behind Queensland Home

Two wallabies were filmed in action as they settled a quarrel with paws and feet flying behind a home in Queensland recently.

Trevor Watson recorded as the dueling couple burst from the woodland behind his veranda in Currumbin Valley, exchanging blows as they collapsed to the ground.

Watson’s wife, Mandy, told Storyful that the couple have been enjoying the presence of the wild animals around them almost every day for 17 years, but that this was only the second fight they’d witnessed.

“We see this little family often as we look down onto our dam, they hang there over the summer for water,” she said, adding: “Clearly it’s a fight for the ladies, as the red one was new to our property, where the brown one lives with his lady.” Credit: Trevor Watson via Storyful
