Got a secret, can you keep it? Well, turns out that Riverdale showrunner isn't as great at keeping secrets as Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa posted a teaser trailer for his new Pretty Little Liars reboot to Instagram, and two things: 1. "A" is back, bitches. And 2. According to new plot details, this isn't the PLL you used to know.

Yesterday, September 24th, Aguirre-Sacasa posted a 10-second teaser trailer for the "new generation" of Pretty Little Liars to his Instagram page. No, there's no shot at the cast or even any footage (we have to assume they haven't cast or filmed anything yet), but there is a reveal of the new title and some hints about the plot.

The PLL reboot will be called Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, according to the teaser.

The video begins with red lettering across a black screen. "It's not what you think, bitches," it reads before the screen is signed, of course, with "A." In his caption, Aguirre-Sacasa wrote, "Secrets to die for. Sins to kill for. A new generation of little liars." But, just as important, his hashtags seem to reveal some of the mysteries at the core of Original Sin.

"#kiss-and-kill #coming-of-RAGE #where-is-angela-waters?? 💅🏻👠🔥💋💄💃🏻🌹🎭🎟🚑☠️," he wrote.

First of all, "coming of rage" is some excellent wordplay. Secondly, it seems like "where is Angela Waters?" is this generation's "where is Alison DiLaurentis?" As for the emojis, we've got nail polish, heels, fire, lips, lipstick, dancing, flowers, theater, tickets, an ambulance, and a skull. Draw what you will from all of those, but the energy definitely feels throwback Pretty Little Liars.

According to Deadline, the plot centers on a new set of girls, a new, much different town, and, of course, loads of new secrets. Here's the reported plot summary:

.

"In the dark, coming-of-rage, horror-tinged drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe—in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars."

In the existing Pretty Little Liars universe? Does this mean Angela Waters knows Alison DiLaurentis exists? That "A" has been in the news? So. Many. Questions.

In his post, Aguirre-Sacasa also noted that he's "very honored and excited to be working on this, especially with #CAOS super-writer and #PLL savant" Lindsay Calhoon. (CAOS is the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which was recently canceled.)

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has already been picked up for at least a season by HBO Max. The teaser said that it was "coming soon," but truly it can't come soon enough.
