New Riverside Sizzle restaurant to open in Saltash

A new seafood and grill restaurant is set to open in a watefront spot where two others previously closed. Riverside Sizzle will serve a mixture of Asian and English food, including a variety of seafood and steak dishes.

The riverside restaurant will be based at the site of the former Hispania Tasty by Mavi, and JustBe Coffee Wine Lounge on Old Ferry Road in Saltash. As well as a new lick of paint and fresh décor, the Riverside Sizzle will also boast an open kitchen at the back so you can watch the chefs preparing your food.

It is set to open its doors in time for Christmas tomorrow (Tuesday, November 26), with its opening times from 11am until 10pm every day. Lunch will be between 11am and 3pm, while dinner will be from 5pm to 9pm.

As well as food, Riverside Sizzle will serve coffee and drinks from the bar. Eventually, there will also be a takeaway option.

The menu is set to offer small plates and starters including, salmon poke wonton cups, steamed half shell scallops, Thai grilled steak spicy salad, dynamite prawns, and crispy calamari. Options for main dishes also include, Malaysian mixed seafood curry, charcoal grilled cheese burgers, vegetable tempura, Thai style steamed bass filled with lime and lemongrass, salmon sunset rolls, and Japanese Curry Rice.

The announcement on Facebook about the restaurant's opening has already been met with hundreds of positive comments. One person said: "We really hope you succeed - good luck with your new venture which the town really needs."

Someone else commented: "This looks amazing and seafood is so fitting for the location. I cannot wait!" A third person added: "Great to hear this news - perfect venue for the waterside."

Another person wrote: "How exciting! We desperately need restaurants in Saltash." While someone else also said: "Great to see a new restaurant in Saltash, must have a go!!"
