ONE person has been taken to hospital after a crash in Highcliffe.

Road closures were put in place while emergency services deal with the incident and the road remains shut.

Police and ambulance attended the incident near the Hoburne Roundabout.

The crash was reported to Dorset Police at 11am.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 11.03hrs to an incident in the Highcliffe area.

“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and a critical care car. We conveyed one patient to Poole Hospital.”

Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson for Christchurch Police said: “Please be aware some roads have been shut with diversions near to Hoburne Lane.”
