Yahoo News Road closures in Surrey this week on M25 and A3 affecting Guildford, Wisley and Heathrow
Further road closures are scheduled throughout Surrey this week following the bank holiday. As the summer holidays draw to a close and many travel home to return to work and school, it is worth checking what closures may affect journeys this week.
Closures are scattered around Surrey, some impacting Heathrow, link roads to other highways like the M3 and M40, and others on the A3. Drivers should be aware that roads can close as early as 9pm, and generally reopen at around 6am the following morning.
Yellow boards will highlight diversion routes, drivers should aim to follow the diversion routes set out. National Highways suggests ignoring satnavs which can sometimes be incorrect when it comes to temporary diversions.

Closures in areas like Wisley are likely to be ongoing as the road works at the interchange are expected to continue until summer 2025. This could include carriageway, entry and exit slip road closures.
