Road cordoned off after man injured in the street

Emergency services were called to a residential street after a man was injured in the street.

When the ECHO arrived in Litherland at around 6.30pm this evening, June 4, a partial cordon was in place on Kilburn Street, just off Linacre Road.

There were several police vehicles present, including a Matrix van, as well as two ambulances. An injured man was taken away in an ambulance at around 6.45pm.

We do not know the nature of the incident, nor the extent of the man's injuries. Merseyside Police have been approached for comment. Concerned neighbours were out in the street looking on as the man was taken away, but nobody was able to say what had happened.
