Road users are being urged to take care as a drop in temperature has caused icy road conditions.

The county’s gritters were deployed last night but many untreated and rural roads are hazardous this morning.

Worcestershire County Council’s highways team has warned drivers and cyclists to be careful - with a reminder that stopping distances can be up to 10 times longer on icy roads.

The Met Office says temperatures are unlikely to get about 4C today and could drop as low as -5C again tonight (Wednesday, December 7).

It is forecasting the weather to be cold but dry for the rest of the week and there is even a chance we could see some snow on Friday.
