Robber Fires Round in Bronx Barbershop, Flees With $10,000

Security video released by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) shows the moment an armed suspect fired a round as they held up a barbershop in the Bronx on Saturday, November 6, and fled with $10,000 in cash.

Police said the suspect entered the shop in the West Farms neighborhood of the Bronx just before 5 pm and demanded jewelry from a 30-year-old male employee who had posted a chain and bracelet for sale online at a price of $13,000.

The suspect fired a round from his weapon toward the ceiling, police said. Another employee then handed the suspect an envelope containing $10,000 in cash, and the gunman fled east on a moped, the NYPD said.

Police said no one was injured in the robbery. They released this footage with the hope that someone could help identify the suspect. Credit: NYPD via Storyful
