Robber threatens Morrison's Daily staff as he holds up shop for cigarettes
Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a Morrison’s Daily in Widnes. At 7.23am this morning (Wednesday 5 February) a man pulled up outside the shop which is on Liverpool Road in a white transit van and entered the store.
He threatened the staff and then took all the cigarette packets which he loaded into a yellow bag. The suspect then made off from the scene toward Hough Green train station.
He is described as white, around 5ft 11ins to 6ft, of thin build and approximately in his 30s. He had a local accent and was dressed in black with his face covered.
