Robbie Williams has asked wife Ayda Field to marry him - again.

The Angels singer serenaded the model and fellow former X Factor judge as she celebrated her 40th birthday at the weekend, before dropping to one knee in the middle of the dance floor and asking her to renew their vows.

Williams, 45, sang his number one hit, changing the words to: “I’m loving Ayda instead,” before kneeling before her and adding: “Baby one more thing, will you marry again?”

Field shared the tender moment on Instagram and declared: The answer is yes.”

Before the party Field had paid tribute to Williams on Instagram, gushing: “In love and gratitude for my dream hubby. I'm so excited for the next 40 years and beyond. You rock my f***ing world.”

Field was also presented with a two-tier white cake at the party, which she joked had “a lot of candles’ before she and Williams blew them out together.

Williams first popped the question to Field live on an Australian radio show in November 2009, although he later denied it had been a genuine proposal. They tied the knot at their home in Beverly Hills, in August 2010.

The couple are parents to daughter Teddy, six, son Charlie, four and eight-month-old baby daughter Coco, who was born via surrogacy.

Williams wished Field a happy 40th birthday on Instagram, calling her his “dream woman”.

Earlier this year it was revealed the couple have quit The X Factor after just one series, reportedly after they were refused a pay rise.

Williams wrote on social media: “We’re gutted to tell you we won’t be able to return to The X Factor this year.

“We will, however, be working on projects with Simon [Cowell] going forward – and as huge fans of the show, we will still be tuning into The X Factor, voting and winding Simon up.”
