Robbie Williams has won more Brits than any other artist in history and was the recipient of the Brits Icon Award last November - so how could he not perform at this year's ceremony?

Turns out our Robbie will indeed join Little Mix, The 1975 and Emeli Sandé on the bill to play the award show next month, organisers have confirmed.

"I'm delighted to be performing at the Brits once again," the singer said. "It's always a special night for music - this year feels like a big one."

Brits Chairman Jason Iley added: "We are excited to welcome back Robbie Williams to the Brits stage as he has become part of the awards history. He's a world-class live performer who never disappoints!"

With Robbie on 17 awards, his nearest rival is Coldplay on 9. So, even if the Chris Martin-fronted band win the two awards they're nominated for, the Take That singer can rest easy that no-one will beat his record this year.

Bosses are currently on the hunt for a new host, as Michael Bublé made the decision to drop out as presenter this week to take care of his son Noah, who's battling liver cancer.

Celebrity Big Brother presenter Emma Willis has been named as the favourite to replace Bublé by the bookmakers.

The Brit Awards 2017 - held on February 22 at London's O2 arena - will air live on ITV.
