Robbie Williams has startled fans with what appears to be a new tattoo of his face on his chest, debuted on Instagram on Tuesday.

The Angels singer posted a photo on his social media page sharing the new design with his 1.1 million followers – a picture of his face.

The black-and-white self-portrait emblazoned on his chest was in the centre of all his other tattoos as Williams put his hands on his head and captioned the post “UH OH”.

But while the 44-year-old is known to have tributes to the likes of Sir Roger Moore on his body, fans weren’t convinced that his ode to himself was real and thought the star might be joking around.

UH OH.

Commenting on the photo, one wrote: “What a laugh.😁!!!! Nice one Robbie. Please don't even think about doing it for real. Xxx.”

“Don’t believe this and There’s no way @aydafieldwilliams would let this happen lol but Robbie you so would do this,” laughed another fan.

While somebody else had claimed to have done some research: “Look at Aydas Instagram, she posted this pic of Robbie without the tattoo ages ago. It’s fake.”

“Done enough perving on topless Robbie pics to know that this is an old pic so the tattoo is fake,” commented another.

But other followers of the successful hitmaker believed Williams’ latest addition to his body.

One user wrote: “Only you would have a tattoo of you on your body xx.”

Another comment read: “I love your New tattoo hope it’s a real one because I love it.”

Standard Online have contacted representatives for Williams for comment.
