Robbie Williams has given away all but one of his BRIT Awards

Being given a BRIT Award is one of the highest honours for UK musicians, with many stars dreaming of the day that they are given the accolade.

However, Robbie Williams seemingly couldn’t be less fussed about his 18 wins over the years – giving all but one of the trophies away to his showbiz pals.

Robbie has 18 BRIT Awards but only kept 1.

Cor, send one of them our way next time, eh Rob?

Admitting that the only reason he kept one of them is because his wife, Ayda Field, made him hold onto his BRITs Icon Award, which he received this year, Robbie explained: “I’ve given them all away but Ayda made me keep that.

“You know when Jose Mourinho gave away his Premier League medals straight away?

“It’s a monument to something that’s already happened and I’m on to the next thing and I want more.”

Revealing who has been lucky enough to nab one of his BRITs, Robbie exposed what seems to be some kind of celebrity award black market, where he and his pals mix and match gongs from their various careers.

He told The Sun: “Paddy McGuiness has one. He gave me a comedy award.

“Phil Taylor has one, Wayne Rooney gave me a pair of World Cup boots for one – they’re just in the house.”

The star went on to admit that he thought it was weird that he was the proud recipient of 18 BRITs, quipping: “It’s kind of that big an achievement that it’s hard to work out why I’ve got 18 Brits and no-one else has. It’s f**king odd.

“Why hasn’t Paul McCartney got 18? Why hasn’t Elton John? Why has a half decent singer who can’t dance from Stoke got 18? It like a glitch in the Matrix.”

And we have a feeling that Robbie’s BRIT Award achievements haven’t ended yet.
