Colby is still unsure on his position in the force as the integrity commission want to question him. Ebony is supportive and invites him for a coffee, before he has to head into the station and face the music. Unsure of Ebony's curiosity in Colby, Robbo spies them together. It's clear that Robbo doesn't quite trust Ebony and her keen interest in his mate.

Over coffee, Ebony plants seeds that Robbo is trying to set Colby up, just as Robbo is watching them. Ebony is quick to accuse Robbo of having an agenda. As a result, Colby is left wondering whether Ebony is right to be suspicious of Robbo.

Later, Colby confronts Robbo and asks why he was following him this morning. Robbo thinks it's strange that Colby's life has gone wrong ever since Ebony showed up, but Colby refuses to listen to this theory.

Ebony then spies John talking to Robbo about the free work he is doing for Alf. As Robbo departs, Ebony is quick to introduce herself to John and start using her charms to get more info on Robbo. Alf quickly shuts down John's big mouth, before approaching Robbo to let him know that Ebony has been asking questions about him.

Robbo finds Colby as he returns from the station and Colby reveals they are expanding the investigation into his gang affiliations. Robbo reveals to Colby that Ebony has been asking questions about him. He tells Colby to wake up because his job is on the line.

As Ebony makes her way to see Colby, Robbo confronts her and demands to know why she's been asking questions. Ebony, caught off guard, plays it cool. She claims that she likes Robbo – a lot – but she knows he's not interested. Robbo can see Ebony's game and plays along, suggesting they should grab a drink and find out whether he is interested. Quick on her feet, Ebony plays along.
