Robert Jenrick received most donations of all Nottinghamshire MPs before election - full list of who donated cash to all MPs
Tory leadership contender Robert Jenrick received the most donations in the run-up to the general election of all Nottinghamshire MPs. The Conservative MP for Newark, now vying against five other Tory MPs to take on the mantle from Rishi Sunak, received over £140,000 from various companies and private individuals.
The data has been released in the first register of members' interests of the new Parliament, which details all the income and extra support an MP receives whilst in office. New and re-elected MPs have to register all their financial interests received in the 12 months before their election.
One of the categories within the register sees MPs having to detail all donations they have received, including ones that are not directly given to them initially but which are linked to them. Not all the donations are directly linked to campaign funding for the July 4 general election, given that all candidates are limited on what they can spend in an election period.
