Yahoo News Robert Pattinson reveals he once went on a potato only diet for two weeks
The Twilight and Batman actor said that he has tried every fad out there
Robert Pattinson has revealed he once went on a potato only diet to get in shape.
The Twilight heartthrob said he ate nothing but potatoes for a whole fortnight for a "cleanse".
He opened up as he talked about the pressure on men to look a certain way in Hollywood.
"Yeah, it’s crazy," the star said in an interview with ES magazine.
"And it’s very, very easy to fall into that pattern as well, even if you’re just watching your calorie intake, it’s extraordinarily addictive - and you don’t quite realise how insidious it is until it’s too late."
The Batman actor, 36, said he does not have an issue when it comes to body image but said instead of being consistent he has tried every "fad".
"I once ate nothing but potatoes for two weeks, as a detox," he said. "Just boiled potatoes and Himalayan pink salt. Apparently it’s a cleanse… you definitely lose weight."
Pattinson has previously indicated that he is uncomfortable with the attention on appearance.
He had a trainer before slipping into the batsuit but told GQ at the time: “I think if you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem.
“You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the 70s. Even James Dean - he wasn’t exactly ripped."

Pattinson found fame playing Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, alongside Kristen Stewart. He also played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and films including The Rover, Waiting For The Barbarians and The Lost City Of Z.
