Rochelle Humes confirmed to replace Holly Willoughby on This Morning during I'm A Celebrity: 'I'll make sure I don't do anything naughty'

Rochelle Humes will replace Holly Willoughby when the This Morning presenter jets off to Australia for I’m A Celebrity later this year.

Willoughby and Phillip Schofield confirmed the exciting news of her stand-in at the beginning on Tuesday’s show, following speculation on Monday.

Schofield joked that you “know you’ve made it” on the show when your picture is hung on the wall, with the camera revealing a brand new frame of Humes.

The singer then joined the duo in the studio where she promised Willoughby that she will “take good care” of her professional partner.

Humes said: “I’m excited – and I can tell people now. There was rumours at the weekend and I didn’t reply to any of my friends. I’m doing it!

“Yes [I’ve done the show before] but never with the legend.

"I’ll make sure I don’t do anything naughty so you still have something to come back to.”

Schofield then joked with Willoughby that “showbiz is a cruel and fickle beast” before the camera cut to the presenter’s picture being shredded, mocking the famous Banksy artwork from last week.

On Monday, a source told The Sun that Humes was set for the job after “impressing bosses with her down-to-earth nature and presenting skills” .

The insider added that Humes, who rose to fame in S Club 8 and The Saturdays, saw the move as a “huge career opportunity”.

Willoughby will present I’m A Celebrity alongside good friend Declan Donnelly following Ant McPartlin’s decision to step away from his TV commitments for the remainder of 2018.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
