Rochester Hospitals Install New Drive-Thru Evaluation Sites for Coronavirus Testing

Rochester Regional Health said on March 31 that it was adding more drive-thru evaluation sites at four locations to accommodate the growing number of patients as a result of the coronavirus outbreak and minimize risk of exposure to positive cases.

The organization shared a video showing the construction of a new drive-thru site at Wilson Center Urgent Care, and said it was installing similar units at United Memorial Medical Center, Unity Hospital, and Clifton Springs Hospital. The evaluation tents were designed to treat a number of medical issues, as well as testing for the new coronavirus, COVID-19.

The drive-thru was also designed to decrease the risk of patients getting exposed to the coronavirus.
