DC fans waiting for The Rock's solo outing as Black Adam should be very excited.
Not one to quell any hype, Dwayne Johnson has promised big things from the upcoming blockbuster.
"It's just f**king awesome," he said to MTV News.
"We've had great discussions with Geoff Johns over at DC. This is a really fun, cool time for DC right now, because they're world-building. We're seeing that with Wonder Woman and Aquaman. We have a few surprises down the line.
"So what we decided to do was to create a scenario where Black Adam has his standalone movie, and Captain Marvel, Shazam, has his standalone movie.
"We're building our world that way, and then we can come together at some point."
There are also rumours flying around that Black Adam could appear in Superman sequel Man of Steel 2.
A Reddit user who claims to be privy to a lot of information surrounding the DC Extended Universe said that Dwayne's character will be the "main villain" of the movie, and that a Shazam film is "practically off the table at this point".
Take that with a massive pinch of salt, though. Anonymous source and all.
Dwayne told Digital Spy a couple of years back why he chose to take on the role of Black Adam.
"I felt ultimately – and this is with all due respect to Shazam and Billy Batson – what made me choose Black Adam is that I inherently just felt Black Adam was more interesting," he said.
"I felt like there were more layers to Black Adam starting out as a slave and then ultimately becoming the anti-hero who we enjoy today."
