Rod Stewart looked happy as he celebrated his beloved Celtic's league and cup win with a 'champions' cake.

The Hoops-daft rocker was pictured with his wife Penny Lancaster in a dark green suit with white shirt as Penny holds the cake.

Written on the cake is "Congratulations. Celtic Champions 23/34."

Brendan Rodgers' team lifted yet another trophy on Saturday May 25 following a 1-0 victory at Hampden Park. Celtic went head-to-head with rivals Rangers in a battle to secure the Scottish Cup.

However, with an opening Old Firm goal from Abdallah Sima ruled out following a VAR check - the Hoops land their 13th League and Cup double with a last-gasp goal from substitute Adam Idah.

This is the first time in 22 years that Celtic have beaten Rangers in a Scottish Cup final. Rod was pictured at Hampden for the game on Saturday.

It comes after the Maggie May singer had a few X-rated words to say to football pundit Simon Jordan, earlier this month.

The singer is a strong backer of the Scottish game, unlike talkSPORT's Jordan, who has made his views on the game north of the border clear on more than one occasion, the Record reports.

However, this time the rocker had enough and took to his Instagram stories to take aim at the former Crystal Palace chief. He's warned him to back off and 'Shut the f*** up' over his views on Scottish football and made it clear he is sick and tired of the constant disrespect fired towards our clubs north or the border - not just Celtic.

Writing on his Instagram stories to his 1.4million followers, Sir Rod said: "I'm absolutely sick and tired of constant deriding and disrespect of Scottish Football shown down south. Especially by one Mr Simon 'motor mouth' Jordan [who I'm sure has had elocution lessons in the past].

"It's our game, we know it's not the EPL or La Liga but it's our game and I love it. So back off Mr Jordan, and by the way, what did you achieve at Crystal Palace? With all due respect to Palace of course.

"One thing Graeme Souness quite rightly pointed out the other day on talkSPORT was if Celtic or Rangers were in the Championship with the money that's dished out by Sky etc it would only be a couple of years and we would be able to compete, no doubt about that. So shut the f*** up Jordan, and leave Scottish football alone."
