Rod Stewart Surprises British Newlyweds with Impromptu Wedding Performance in Las Vegas

Sharon Cook and Andrew Aitchison thought their wedding at Caesars Palace Las Vegas was in jeopardy after the collapse of Thomas Cook travel agency on September 23. But Caesars, along with some help from Delta Airlines, came to the rescue.

The couple, and entire wedding party, were given complimentary flights thanks to Delta airlines. However Caesars Palace did not stop there: The hotel organized a surprise performance from Rod Stewart.

Guest Dawn Jamieson recorded this footage on October 2, and told Storyful she was not sure the wedding was going to happen after the collapse of Thomas Cook.

The couple told news outlets they were devastated when they heard the flights were cancelled, they had always wanted a wedding in Las Vegas, and had been planning the event for a year.

Aitchison, the groom to-be, tweeted on September 27, he had received a phone call from Caesars Palace telling him they wanted to help out and to be prepared for some surprises.

The couple were treated like royalty as soon as they entered Caesars Palace, they had their bags whisked away and were treated to a suite at the hotel.

Rod Stewart then topped the trip off by singing for the couple and giving the entire wedding party tickets to his show on Friday.

“Thank you Rod you’ve absolutely made our dream wedding you absolute legend. We can’t wait to see you Friday,” Aitchison wrote in a tweet. Credit: Dawn Jamieson via Storyful
