Rodri, De Bruyne, Ake - Latest Man City injury news ahead of Newcastle United clash
Manchester City will look to extend their Premier League unbeaten run against Newcastle United tomorrow lunchtime.
So far this season, City have won all but one - last Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal - league fixture with Erling Haaland seemingly hitting top form with ten goals at an average of two per game so far.
As much as there are reasons to be positive, a Rodri-shaped cloud will be hanging over Pep Guardiola’s side for the trip to St James’ Park.

The trip to the Northeast will bring back memories of Kevin De Bruyne’s wonderful equaliser after City trailed for much of the game last January. The returning De Bruyne, on that occasion, then turned provider for Oscar Bobb’s 91st-minute winner with a perfectly angled pass to set up the Norwegian youngster. At the time, this result for ominous and helped toward City gain their fourth consecutive title.

Rodri
Arguably the world's best midfielder will miss the remainder of the season after City fan's worse nightmares were confirmed by Guardiola earlier today, he said: "He [Rodri] had surgery this morning - ACL and some meniscus," Guardiola said on Friday.
"So, next season he will be here. This season is over [for him]."
Pep added: "But the others can all together replace what Rodri has given since his arrival to us. We will have to do it as a team and find a way to play a lot of matches without an important player for us."
He also admitted conversations will take place regarding a potential replacement for the Spaniard.
Kevin de Bruyne
The Belgian playmaker has missed several matches, including last week's draw with Arsenal, earlier today Guardiola said: “I don’t know. Before maybe the (October) international break, or after international break. So we will see.”
If the City bosses words are correct, this would see De Bruyne miss the Champions League fixture against Slovan Bratislava, and Premier League visit of Fulham on October 5.
Nathan Ake
The Dutch defender is also set to be out until at least after the October international break. On September 13, Guardiola said: “Injured. I think it will be until the next international break. We are unlucky with Nathan in the international team, every time he goes there he comes back injured.”
Oscar Bobb
The 21-year-old's last appearance came in the penalty shoot-out victory over Manchester United in the FA Community Shield. However, he suffered a long-term injury in training with the timescale expected to be within the three-to-four month region.
