Roehampton Murder: Teenager Held By Police

A teenager has been arrested in connection with the death of a man killed during a break-in.

Police said the 15-year-old was held on Thursday night and was being held in custody at a police station in south London.

The victim, thought to be in his 30s, was found seriously injured by police and paramedics on Tuesday at an address in Roehampton, south London.

An air ambulance crew was sent to the scene but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's identity has not been released as officers are still locating his next of kin, Scotland Yard said.

A post-mortem is expected to take place on Friday.

Detectives have said they are keen to trace three men seen loitering in the area before the man was killed.

Detective Chief Inspector Charlie King said: "At this early stage we are keeping an open mind about any possible motive.

"Members of the public have already provided us with accounts of three young men seen loitering in the area prior to the incident. I am directly appealing to these young men to come forward and speak us."

Anyone with information should call police on 0208 721 4205 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
