You might be holding the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Blu-ray set in your hands in no time at all!

Although we're yet to have an official announcement from Disney and Lucasfilm about when we can expect the home release, leaks from retailers have given us a strong clue.

According to Screenrant and Star Wars News, now-deleted listings for both Walmart and Best Buy had the official store date as Tuesday, April 4, 2017 - at least for the US. It's possible there could be a delay for Europe.

An April 4 release would fit perfectly with the arrival of tie-in book Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – The Official Mission Debrief one week earlier on Tuesday, March 28.

It would follow a similar schedule used by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hit the home video market about six months after its record-breaking cinema run as well.

Rogue One, the very first in a series of Star Wars anthology movies, has already made more than $1 billion at the box office - an impressive feat since it was technically not a part of the beloved Skywalker family saga.

Surprisingly, Rogue One managed to cross the billion dollar mark without much support from the Chinese market, where it generally failed to impress audiences.

Now, the eyes of fans are turning to long-awaited Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which recently revealed first-look photos of Rey (Daisy Ridley) and other returning characters.

A trailer for writer-director Rian Johnson's Episode VIII is expected soon as we march towards The Last Jedi's cinema release on December 15. Watch a production teaser below:
