Rolling Stones announce relaunch of pandemic-hit US tour

Veteran British rockers the Rolling Stones announced on Thursday the relaunch of their US ‘No Filter’ tour which had been interrupted by the pandemic.

They will kick things off once again in St Louis on September 26 before continuing around the States to complete the tour after a long delay due to Covid.

Frontman Mick Jagger thanked the band’s fans for waiting so long to see them play live again.

He said in a statement: “I'm so excited to get back on the stage again and want to thank everyone for their patience. See you soon.”

Guitarist Keith Richards also expressed his excitement.

“We're back on the road,” he said. “See you there.”

The 2021 ‘No Filter’ tour begins on September 26 at The Dome at America’s Center in St Louis.

They will perform rescheduled dates in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Minneapolis, Tampa, Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit and Austin.

The band has also added three new dates.

Now the group plan to play at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on October 13, Los Angeles on October 17 at the SoFi Stadium and Las Vegas on November 6 at the Allegiant Stadium.

Tickets are due to go on sale July 30 for the new shows.

The statement added previously scheduled dates for Vancouver, Louisville, Cleveland and Buffalo could not be rescheduled and ticketholders will be contacted by Ticketmaster.

All previously purchased tickets will be honoured at the rescheduled performances.
