Roman Kemp: 'Sorry Louis Tomlinson but you’re not doing an Ed Sheeran and tattooing me'

Capital Breakfast presenter Roman Kemp has put his foot down on letting celebrity friends tattoo his body.

Kemp, 24, said Louis Tomlinson is keen to add another inking to his collection after he let Ed Sheeran tattoo “Ed woz ere 2K7 x” on his leg earlier this year.

But Kemp said he’s yet to break the news to Tomlinson that he’s not going to let him loose with the tattoo machine.

He told Standard Online: “Louis Tomlinson wants to do one. I’m not going to be that guy. I’m not actually going to do this. I haven’t broken it to Louis yet.

“Listen, Louis Tomlinson ain’t doing that. I’ll look like James Arthur.”

Kemp is gearing up to present the upcoming Capital Jingle Bell Ball with co-presenter Vick Hope, who said she came close to letting slip that Taylor Swift is on the line-up.

“I nearly revealed Taylor Swift live on air,” she said. “I have to be careful. [Kemp’s] controlling the desk and I was like ‘so excited for Tay-’.”

This year’s two day concert will mark Hope’s debut as a presenter since she and Kemp took over the Capital Breakfast Show from Dave Berry, George Shelley and Lilah Parsons in May.

Speaking about taking to the stage at London’s O2 she said: “I’m a virgin baller – popping my ball cherry. He’s been telling me what to expect.

“We had the Summertime Ball and we’d just started the show so that was really exciting. Ro is so hyperbolic, he was like ‘oh my God it will be the best day of your life’ and I was like ‘calm down’.

“But honestly, I’ve not had a child yet and I’m not married so it was one of the best days of my life.”

Kemp said: “Jingle Bell Ball holds a better place in my heart than the Summertime Ball because it was the first time I ever experienced working for Capital. I was doing interviews with artists. It was before I had a show.”

Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Major Lazor, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and X Factor winners Rak Su are among the huge names on this year’s bill.

Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola is on December 9 and 10.
