Roman Kemp says an ex dumped him over affair suspicions with Vick Hope

From Digital Spy

I'm A Celebrity star Roman Kemp has revealed that an ex-girlfriend of his once broke things off because she thought he was having an affair with co-host Vick Hope.

The radio DJ got candid about a former relationship recently during an interview with Metro.co.uk, recalling how a bunch of misinterpreted paparazzi photos resulted in him being dumped.

"I had a Greek girlfriend – she didn't read the papers or really know what I did for a living," the 27-year-old remembered. "It was a nightmare. We had to go to the MTV EMAs, Vick and I, and on the red carpet, Vick's dress completely fell open.

"Obviously, I've seen it, so I've run over and helped her out, done up the back again," Kemp continued.

"So that's what all the photos that ended up in the newspaper were, just me helping Vick do her dress up again. So, she saw this photo, flipped out and then didn't really like me again.

"Basically [she] broke up with me because she thought I was having an affair with Vick."

The event in question took place in 2017, and the snaps saw Kemp zipping up Hope's dress from behind as the pair giggled about the situation in front of the camera.

The pair began working together in 2017, when tasked with presenting Capital FM's breakfast show from 6am to 10am every weekday. Later, former Britain's Got Talent singer Sonny Jay – who has just signed up for a new series of Dancing on Ice – was brought in as another co-host.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Hope had quit the show, stating that it was "time to move onto pastures new".
