Daniel Merrifield previously worked as a digital content producer for the station and was in charge of posting memes and urging fans to vote while Kemp was in the jungle.
He'll now serve as a showbiz reporter for on the breakfast show and Kemp announced the news during his first programme back since I'm A Celebrity.
He explained: “We have a new job for you – we’ve been watching a lot of the stuff that you post.
“A lot of stuff you post is about films, movies and things like that. I really like it, so now we’re gonna give you a new title for the new year. You’re going to be able to go and interview some of the stars of movies. This is a thank you for doing all of this as well.

“You’re going to be going out there, interviewing all the celebrity stars and you’re gonna be known as Movie Man Dan!”
Merrifield responded: “Oh! Guys! Thank you.”
Kemp added: “You can keep your job basically but just in a different way.”
The host added as Merrifield had done such a good job on his accounts while he was away, he feared that he would not be able to keep it up.
After co-host Sonny Jay described Merrifield’s popularity with fans, their fellow presenter Vick Hope asked him: “Are you feeling the pressure? You’re gonna have to keep this up Ro.”
He responded: “I know. Dan’s gonna have to, you’ve got a job for life now.”
Kemp was placed in third after his month-long stay in the I’m A Celebrity jungle on Sunday.
Former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa was crowned the winner while Emmerdale star Andy Whyment was the runner-up in the race.
