Romelu Lukaku has ‘unfinished business’ at Chelsea and has already decided his future, says Didier Drogba

Ronald Koeman knows Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku is a wanted man after Everton rise

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has already made a decision over his future, claims Didier Drogba.

The 23-year-old striker is among Chelsea’s top transfer targets ahead of the summer, with Antonio Conte keen to strengthen his front line by bringing the Belgian back to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea pushed hard to re-sign Lukaku last summer, before ultimately turning their attention elsewhere and signed compatriot Michy Batshuayi from Marseille.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman conceded earlier this week that Lukaku could leave Goodinson, with Chelsea favourites for his signature.

During an interview with Sky Sports, Chelsea legend Drogba was quizzed on whether Lukaku could return to Stamford Bridge, and admitted the signing would be ‘great’ for Chelsea.

"I know [what he is planning to do]" he said, before reportedly laughing and refusing to expand on his answer.

"If he comes to Chelsea it will be great for the club," he told Sky Sports.

"He knows the house already and I think he wants to prove he can be successful here, he didn't get the chance to do it.

"Chelsea is his club since he was young, so why not?”

Lukaku currently leads the way in the race for the Golden Boot, with 23 Premier League goals so far this season.

"He wants to be the best,” Drogba added. “He's really working hard to become the best.”

"I am always challenging him. When he scores one goal, I expect him to score two. We have a very good relationship.

"I think he's my little brother. He's a really good guy. He's a very good player, but also a great man."
