Ronan Keating Felt Late Stephen Gately’s ‘Presence’ At His Wedding To Storm Uechtritz

Ronan Keating was left devastated when his Boyzone bandmate, Stephen Gately, died in October 2009, but the singer has poignantly honoured his pal in the wake of his recent wedding to Storm Uechtritz.

Acknowledging the idyllic day in Scotland, Ronan attributed the perfect weather to the late Stephen and his late mother, Marie Keating, who he said were both looking down on him.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, Ronan shared: “I know that my Mam, Steo and Storm’s granddad had a hand in making sure the weather was perfect - the one thing that was out of our hands.”

With the rest of Boyzone agreeing, Keith Duffy added to the mag: “Steo is here, that’s for sure.”

No, we’re not crying - you are.

Welp.

Storm and Ronan tied the knot in front of a whole host of celeb guests, including Dannii Minogue and Brian McFadden, and were even treated to a wedding reception performance from Ed Sheeran later on in the evening.

Certainly beats a dodgy DJ, eh?

The lovebirds met when the Irish crooner was a judge on The X Factor Australia, with Ronan previously clarifying the reason why they decided to get married in Scotland, explaining: “All of our families are going to be there - everyone.

“Rather than doing it in Australia or Ireland we said we’d go to neutral ground and meet there.

“It’s a very special place for us.”

No doubt made all the more special by Stephen and Marie’s presence during their big day.

Congrats once again to the newlyweds!
