Ronan Keating to headline Leicester Racecourse's 'unforgettable' Ladies Day

Pop star Ronan Keating is among the treats at this year’s Leicester Racecourse Ladies Day. BBC Radio 1 legend Chris Moyles is also on the bill for the “unforgettable” event.

Ronan, who found fame in Boyzone and later had a successful solo career, will be among the stars to perform at Leicester Racecourse next Saturday (June 15) for its Ladies Day spectacular. The day is set to boast “extraordinary” events that go beyond racing from the site in Oadby’s Leicester Road.

Alongside headliner Ronan, the the rest of the lineup will feature iconic 00s boy band Blue and X-Factor winners Rak-Su will also be on the bill to delight fans.

Elsewhere, BBC Radio 1 legend Chris Moyles, who now hosts his own show on Radio X, will also be at Ladies Day. He will perform his 90s Hangover Tour set - a DJ performance full of the biggest tracks from the 1990s as curated by Chris and his fans.

While the day “isn’t just about racing” according to organisers, it will also host a ‘Best Dressed Competition’ so people are urged to get their gladrags on for the occasion. Punters will also have a chance to win “amazing” prizes on the day and enjoy the thrill of some of the day’s racing.

Doors open at 12 noon, with Rak-Su kicking off the day’s entertainment at 12.30pm. Ronan Keating will then round off the day following the final race, with his slot set to begin at 9.15pm.

  • Doors open: 12 noon

  • Rak-Su: 12.30pm to 1.30pm

  • Blue: 1.45pm to 2.45pm

  • Chris Moyles: 3pm to 4.15pm

  • Best Dressed Competition: 4.30pm to 5pm

  • First Race: 5:48pm

  • Last Race: 9pm

  • Ronan Keating: 9.15pm to 10.30pm
