Ronan Keating’s son Jack reveals the identity of his famous dad on Sunday night’s ‘Love Island’ as he cosies up to Gemma Owen.

The 23-year-old – one of six new lads trying to tempt the girls at Casa Amor – told the 19-year-old daughter of ex-footballer Michael Owen, 42, how important he considers family life.

Gemma and Jack have their chat relaxing beside the pool at the show’s sister villa when Jack tells the dressage rider: “My mum and my little sister are big into show jumping and everything like that. I know you’re big into it as well.”

The rider replies: “Oh ok, oh wow! So your mum is a showjumper? So what does your dad do?”

Social media marketer Jack – the eldest of Keating’s three children with his former wife Yvonne Connolly, 48, who the singer divorced in 2015 – replies: “He’s a singer.”

When intrigued Gemma asks: “A well-known singer?” Jack says: “Yeah he is, you know Ronan Keating? That’s the old man.”

Gemma adds: “So you’re really family orientated?” – with Jack responding: “I’m very family orientated. It would be something I’d definitely look for in a girl. I’ve got a big crazy family back home."

Sunday’s instalment of the ITV2 dating show also sees the original batch of lads learn the girls are holed up at Casa Amor – before they start getting to know the six new girls who have entered the main villa.

Among them is 22-year-old business owner Summer Botwe – who admitted she has her eye on Dami Hope.

Microbiologist Dami, 26 says: “These girls are phenomenal, they’re beautiful. Literally, no jokes about it. “I’m not gonna lie... I feel like we’re in trouble.”

Rugby player Jacques O’Neill, 23, adds about the new arrivals: “Santa’s delivered, trust me... he has brought every single present I wanted.”

The other latest girls are cabin crew worker Cheyanne Kerr, 22, nightclub manager Jazmine Nicol, 21, graphic designer and Ring Girl Coco Lodge, 27, as well as 23-year-olds, make up artist Mollie Salmon and youth support worker Chyna Mills.

‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm weekdays and Sundays on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.

The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
