Rosie Huntington-Whiteley reveals she takes 100 selfies at a time as she talks body insecurities

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley may be a model – but she struggles to take the perfect selfie on her first attempt.

The 30-year-old said she takes around 100 pictures of herself which she then has the gruelling task of editing and filtering at least three times.

Speaking about her photography skills she told Glamour: “Well, you need half an hour, you need great lighting, and you need to be prepared to take about 100 pictures of yourself, edit through 100 pictures of yourself and then filter them three times.

“You know, come on! Be real! That's the way it is.”

Huntington-Whiteley said she is conscious of coming across as “obnoxious” despite working a camera being part of her job.

She said: “I try to be mindful of that when I'm posting pictures, but again, it's part of what I do and I hope that people don't feel... that my social media is too obnoxious.”

The Victoria’s Secret model said she is very aware that her social media feed could make young girls feel insecure about their bodies.

“[I worry about] young girls out there who are really feeling insecure about their image and they scroll through and see this image of a supermodel looking amazing, reclining on a beach in a completely unrealistic pose or environment,” she said.

“And I can see how that would make people not feel good about themselves.”

Huntington-Whiteley – who has launched her first swimwear line with Marks and Spencer – is currently pregnant with her first child with fiancé Jason Statham.

The celebrity couple announced the exciting news on Instagram in February.

Alongside a picture of herself cradling her bump on a beach she wrote: “Very happy to share that Jason and I are expecting!! Lots of love Rosie x.”

The British-born stars have been dating for six years, after meeting on the set of Transformers in 2011.

They confirmed their engagement at the Golden Globes last year when Huntington-Whiteley was pictured wearing a huge diamond ring on her wedding finger.
