Margaret Hartley
Margaret Hartley, of Kingston Crescent, Helmshore, passed away at home on January 9, aged 92 years.
Margaret previously worked as a care assistant at Ewood Training Centre, Haslingden.
She enjoyed socialising and was a member of Helmshore Ladies Group.
Wife of the late Rex (passed away in 2004), Margaret leaves behind her daughter Susan, grandchildren Benedict, Bryon and Aoife and her nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on January 31 at Accrington Crematorium at 1pm, conducted by Kathy Unsworth.

Jennifer O’Connell
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer O’Connell on Friday, January 10 aged 78 years.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Jennifer’s warmth and vibrancy touched everyone who knew her.
Jennifer left school at 15 years old to work on the switchboard at David Whitehead’s, later joining her father, Harold Hoyle, at Rossendale Road Springs.
After starting a family, she worked with her husband Bernard at B and J O’Connell, manufacturing slippers until his passing in 1999.
A lifelong lover of dance, Jennifer enjoyed line dancing and rock ’n’ roll, especially on Saturday nights at the IDL.
She also created beautiful tapestries and read tarot cards for friends and families.
An active member of her community, Jennifer was involved with the Soroptimists of Haslingden, the Conservative Club and the Lifeboat Association.
She was also passionate about raising funds for animal charities.
She leaves behind her daughters, Samantha and Natasha, brother John, son-in-law Ewan, twin granddaughters Mathilde and Beatrix and cousins Jean and Leonard.
A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held at St Peter’s Church, Laneside on Thursday, January 30, at 12pm, followed by the interment at Haslingden Cemetery and then finally gathering at Rossendale Golf Club.
All who remember Jennifer are warmly invited to join us in celebrating her life.

Anne Goldsworthy
It is with great sadness that the family of Anne announce her death.
She died peacefully in her sleep with the dignity she showed all through her life.
Anne leaves her brother Ian and nephew and nieces Craig, Mandy, Haydn, Nicola and David.
She also leaves great nephews and niece Stuart, Jordan, Dylan, Robert, Tom, Daniel and Jade.
Anne was in Lumb Valley Nursing home when she passed and the family appreciate all they did for her.
Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, January 29 at 2pm.
She will be travelling from Hamer’s Rawtenstall to Saint Anne’s Church where a service will be held before interment in the church yard.

Margaret Lowe
Margaret Lowe passed away at Tameside General Hospital on December 22, aged 82.
A loving wife to Alan, dear mother to David, a loving grandma to Kayleigh and a doting great-grandmother to Esmaii, Arlo, Axl and Orla.
Margaret spent the majority of her working life in catering, including running Rossendale Golf Club and Haslingden Cricket Club.
She had friends in Rossendale where she was born and in Denton where she resided with husband Alan.
Margaret’s funeral will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Thursday, January 30 at 11am.
