Jean Colliston
Jean Colliston of Haslingden Hall Care Home, Lancaster Avenue, Haslingden, passed away on November 13, aged 85.
Jean worked at Doric Springs in Lumb in the 1960s - on the night shift. She also worked in the office of Bainbridges Slipper Factory, Stacksteads, as well as Atherton Holme Slipper Factory in Stacksteads, first as a slipper operative then as a shopfloor supervisor until retirement.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wife of the late ‘Bill’, Jean leaves behind children Wendy and Peter, grandchildren Shelley, Tammy, Jake, Amy, Joseph, Edward, great-grandchildren Elissa and Archie, Seren, Tegan and Eathan.
A funeral will be held on Friday, December 6, at St Anne’s Church, Edgeside, at 10am and then later a cremation will be held in Burnley at 11.30am. Donations to Dementia Research.
