Roxanne Pallett has broken an eight month silence to return to social media to support Michael Jackson.

The former Emmerdale actress took a break from her social platforms following widespread backlash to her appearance on last year’s Celebrity Big Brother.

Roxanne was at the centre of a row dubbed “punch-gate” after she accused former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas of “repeatedly punching” her while playfully sparring in the kitchen before abruptly exiting the now axed show.

The footage was later reviewed and Roxanne apologised to Ryan, his family and friends where she admitted she got the situation “massively wrong”.

In her first post since August 2018, the 36-year-old has returned to Instagram by posting a photo of ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson, the day before a controversial documentary, Leaving Neverland, is set to air.

Alongside a photo of Jackson, Roxanne captioned the post: “Just because you read it in a magazine or see it on the TV screen, don’t make it factual…’ (Lyrics:Tabloid Junkie) #michaeljackson #mjinnocent #mjfam.”

Her latest post is just one of many references circulating online towards late singer Jackson.

Leaving Neverland, which airs on Channel 4 on Wednesday and Thursday night, is a two-part film which sees two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, accuse the pop star of abusing them as children.
