An Australian businesswoman and PR specialist has had to pull copies of her latest book after the cover mistakenly said she “never fails to disappoint”.

Roxy Jacenko, a former contestant on Australia’s Celebrity Apprentice, said the quote, which appeared on early copies, was meant to read she “never fails to deliver”.

She described the error as a “nightmare” but said it was an honest mistake that was made by a number of proof-readers.

The book, which is Jacenko’s fourth, was apparently written in six weeks and was billed as a “guide to PR, social media and building your brand”, according to Sydney’s Daily Telegraph.

It included a number of endorsements and reviews on the cover, including one from radio host Jackie O.

“Roxy never fails to disappoint, and this book is an easy, interesting read that people in a lot of professions (not just in PR) could learn something from,” the uncorrected quote said.

The quote was printed due “a proofing error made by our editorial department”, publishers Allen & Unwin said.

“It’s a f*** up, but Jackie’s a friend. It certainly should have said ‘Roxy never fails to deliver,” Jacenko said.

It is not clear how many books were printed in error but Allen & Unwin said the error would be corrected.

The book is still expected to meet its late-November release date.
