Royal Ascot 2017 dates, races, horses, Gold Cup results and betting odds

Ascot Racecourse is in full swing ahead of Thursday's showpiece event... the Gold Cup.

Favourite Order of St George won the Gold Cup at last year's meeting and is again being earmarked by the bookmakers as the horse to beat in the feature race.

Popular Italian jockey Frankie Dettori will miss the entire race meeting though, after sustaining an arm injury last week.

DATE, TIME AND VENUE

Royal Ascot starts on Tuesday, June 20 and will run until Saturday, June 24.

The festival is staged at Ascot Racecourse and will include six races per day - 30 in total.

Thursday's Gold Cup is the feature race and will run at 4.20pm. For individual race times check out the full schedule below.
