Royal Ascot 2019 LIVE results: Latest updates and horse racing action from day two

Jack Watson

The first day of Royal Ascot was a good day for the bookmakers with just one favourite winning, although that did not stop Aidan O’Brien triumphing in two races.

The six-time Champion Trainer has a favourite running in three of the six races, including well-fancied Magical in the feature race of the day, the Prince of Wales’s Stakes.

Punters and connections have been carefully checking the weather with rain forecast this afternoon. The official going for the straight course is Good to Soft (from Soft at the end of racing on Tuesday) and the round course is Soft, Good to Soft in places.
