After months of waiting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third royal baby on Monday, to the delight of the country and those far further afield. 

Arriving swiftly, and even giving the tiniest of royal waves during his first appearance to the public, the new prince was born at 11.01am, weighing 8lbs 7oz.
