Royal Mail reveals most common Christmas presents UK children are asking for this year
Royal Mail has revealed this year’s most wanted Christmas presents from the thousands of letters sent by children to Santa.
Each year in the run up to Christmas, the Royal Mail launches its Letters to Santa scheme, where children can write and post a letter to Santa and receive a letter in response.
Although the deadline for sending a letter and getting a response from Mr Claus has passed, those who sent a letter before the deadline (9 December) should be getting their reply from the North Pole any day now.

In their letters, children are encouraged to write down what they want for Christmas. Now, the Royal Mail has revealed what were the most asked for presents among children this year.
Retro classic toy Lego tops the list for the first time in seven years, followed by Barbie dolls, which have made a come back since the acclaimed film Barbie was released last year.
Following Barbies are scooters, Squishmallow stuffed toys, and bikes. Nerf Guns, headphones, PlayStation 5, Hot Wheels and make-up are also on the top 10 most wanted presents.
Lisa Luveniyali, Royal Mail, said: “For over 60 years Royal Mail has played a special part at Christmas working with Santa and his elves.
“We are proud that children across the UK trust us with delivering their treasured letters to Santa, so they can receive the gifts they really want.”
Santa can even respond to letters in Welsh and Braille as well as English, to include even more children in the fun and wholesome scheme.
If your child is still awaiting a reply from Santa, here is a statement from the Royal Mail: "Our last date for letters arriving to Santa was Monday 9 December. If you wrote to him before then we hope you're enjoying your letter from him, or will be really soon!
"If your letter was posted after that date, he'll do his best to get back to you, but you may not hear from him before Christmas."
