Royal photographer Chris Jackson (who captured Princess Charlotte’s famous flower sniff) is sharing never-before-heard details about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May 2018 wedding, so listen up.
The photographer appeared on a recent episode of the Royally Obsessed podcast, where he chatted with hosts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito about the couple’s highly publicized ceremony at St. George’s Chapel. Jackson confirmed that Prince Harry and Markle opened the guest list to more than just friends and family, and we’re still convinced our invite got lost in the mail.
“What I thought was lovely was the fact that the couple invited 2,000 charity representatives from their various charities to be the first witnesses of them emerging from the chapel as a married couple,” he said.
Jackson also revealed that Prince Harry invited a young orphan named Mutsu, who holds a special place in the royal’s heart.
“Prince Harry invited Mutsu, a young orphan from Lesotho who I’ve met a few times over the years. He’s actually the boy that Prince Harry met on his gap year,” Jackson said, referring to Harry’s 2004 visit to South Africa.
The photographer went on to say that Mutsu had one of the best views in the house, adding, “He was one of the first people to see them come out as a married couple.”
