The Duke of Edinburgh battled through Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle with a cracked rib after falling in the bath, according to reports.

The 96-year-old is believed to have slipped in the bath just days before Saturday’s royal wedding , the Sun reported.

Prince Philip was hailed a hero after turning up to the event in Windsor walking unaided just six weeks after undergoing a hip replacement.

A source told the Sun “nothing would stop him attending” the ceremony at St George’s chapel.

He was admitted to hospital on April 3 for planned surgery on his hip.

He was pictured waving to crowds as he was driven away in a Range Rover.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on reports Prince Philip had cracked a rib.
