Royal Wedding: Thomas Markle Jr., Who Penned Letter Asking Prince Harry to Cancel, Arrives in London
Meghan Markle’s family continues to be a source of humiliation for the future royal.
Her estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., who wrote that nasty to Prince Harry letter urging him to call off the wedding earlier this month, has landed in London, but he has not been invited to the wedding.
Meghan Markle's half-sister, Samantha Grant, was asked about the controversy surrounding her family members, who have been blasted as an "embarrassment" in the U.K.
"With all due respect, it is not just about her and for some reason the world is so set on her being the priority," Grant told Inside Edition. "What about everyone else?"
Earlier Thursday, Megan Markle confirmed that her dad will not attend Saturday’s wedding at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
"Sadly my father will not be attending our wedding," Markle said. "I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health."
The statement was issued on official Kensington Palace stationary.
Royal expert Victoria Arbiter spoke to Inside Edition about the statement.
"It is actually quite unprecedented that we heard from Meghan directly," she said. "This must have been such a difficult time and especially to the buildup of the wedding just a couple of days away. I think now that she has released a statement, this story can move on and they can focus on the very happy day that is coming up on Saturday."
Despite the family drama, Meghan Markle gave a radiant smile in the backseat of a Range Rover Thursday as she and Prince Harry pulled into Windsor Castle, where they will marry and have their reception this weekend.
Markle donned an elegant white blouse and her hair was half-up, revealing large diamond earrings.
Clues about Meghan Markle’s dress may also be emerging as an eagle-eyed visitor took a photo showing rolls of ivory silk labeled Ralph & Russo, the British designer behind the gown worn by the "Suits" actress in her engagement photos.
